Dhatus Body TissueDhatus is translated as "body tissue." They exist in many forms including liquid, semi-solid and solid. These are substances and structures that are kept by the body, when they are expelled from the body, they are considered to be mala or waste matter. There are seven dhatus:
This is the order in which dhatus develop in the body, in a fixed manner, one from the other, each one nourished by the previous one. Each of these dhatus is connected with an emotional or mental component. During pancha karma, as detoxification takes place, extra tiredness, mental activity or emotion may arise.
